Getty ImagesIf you couldnât make it to Houston, Texas for Travis Scottâs Astroworld Festival, fret not. Astroworld is going virtual! Epic Games announced that Fortnite and Travis Scottâs in-game concert, Astronomical, will start on Thursday (April 23) and continue to Saturday (April 25).
Deemed as âan other-worldly experience inspired by Cactus Jackâs creations,â Travis Scott is set to headline the series for Fortnite, and is also going to debut a new track.
In addition, Scott will debut outfits, emotes and more â" including a new set of Astronomical in-game challenges beginning Tuesday (April 21).
Hereâs the schedule of the virtual concert tour taking place over multiple days:
- Thursday, April 23rd at 4pm PT (The Americas)
- Friday, April 24th at 7am PT (EU and ME)
- Saturday, April 25th at 9pm PT (Asia and Oceania)
- Saturday, April 25th at 8am PT (EU and ME)
- Sunday, April 25th at 3pm PT (The Americas)
Scottâs special partnership is the second major in-game concert to occur after Marshmelloâs epic affair last February, which garnered 10.7 million viewers. It was the gameâs biggest event ever.
The Houston rapper released a compilation album, JACKBOYS, last December under his label, Cactus Jack Records, which featured the following artists: RosalÃa, Lil Baby, Migosâ Quavo and Offset, Sheck Wes, Chase B, Pop Smoke, Young Thug and Don Toliver. He dropped an official short film for the surprise release as well.
The 27-year-old last dropped solo work in 2018 with Astroworld, which went on to peak at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Not only did the project receive critically-acclaimed reviews, but it also spent a whopping 72 weeks on the Billboard 200. He also has topped the Billboard Hot 100 with the records âSicko Modeâ and âHighest in the Room.â
The musician was most recently set to headline Coachella this April, but the festival has been delayed (until further notice) due to the spread of COVID-19.
