‘Fortnite’ Challenge: The Best Way To Catch Fish While Riding In A Choppa

I don’t exactly know what fishing in a helicopter has to do with the generally gilded theme of Midas’ challenges, but the again I’m not really sure where pipe wrenches came from, gold as they are. Regardless, this season has asked us to do all sorts of things with its signature vehicle, and they’ve all been annoying to different degrees, particularly to solo payers. This one is a little bit tricky to balance, but once you have the general notion it’s no issue. If you need some guidance, we’re here to help.

First off, you’ll need a Choppa. These are found at spy bases and shadow safe houses, though they don’t spawn at each location in every game. I usually go to the Agency, which is a reliable enough spawn. You’ll want to do this right away, because they can be hot commodities shortly after dropping.

Then, you need to grab a fishing pole. My location of choice here was Flopper Pond, but any fishing location will do. Look for the barrels with fishing poles stikcing out of them, park your helicopter and grab a pole.

The annoying part, for solo players: look for the telltale disturbances in abody of water that indicate the presence of fish. You’ll want to park your helicopter right by them, so that one of the legs is close enough to it. Then, don’t get out of the the choppa. Switch seats, instead, so that you’re standing on one of the legs close to the fish. This will allow you to catch some fish.

I had to use two spots to complete the challenge, but it’s no issue so long as people aren’t shooting you. The easiest way to do this is obviously as a team, but solo players can manage it too. A bit of an annoying thing, but no problem really.

Complete this and 17 of the other Midas Mission challenges to unlock the loyalty mission and choose between Ghost and Shadow. You’ll choose Shadow, at this point there’s no point in pretending: he’s just a whole lot slicker as a Shadow agent.
