‘Fortnite’ Season 2, Week 4: Where To Scan A Henchman In Different Matches

Fortnite

Epic

TNTina has her second batch of challenges live today, and that means a series of explosive-based activities as you try to get to her SHADOW vs. GHOST loyalty quest. But it also means more messing with Henchmen. Today’s challenge asks you to scan a Henchman in three different matches.

Now, you have probably killed Henchman, shaken down Henchman or dressed up as Henchman, but you may not have “scanned” a Henchman yet. It’s a little bit of a different process, as it requires you to do the following.

  • Go to an area of the map with Henchmen in it. By now you should know where those are, but to refresh, that would be The Shark, The Rig, The Grotto, The Yacht and The Agency.
  • You need to shoot a Henchman enough where you knock them down.
  • Do not kill them, do not shake them down, instead pick them up.
  • You will need to then carry them to a location inside the area with an ID scanner, which usually guards locked doors or chests. You walk up to the scanner and that is how you “scan” the Henchman.

This is probably the most cumbersome thing you can do with a Henchman because you are pretty exposed to other Henchmen or other players while doing this. It is probably best to do this with a squad so you can have other people watching your back as you carry the Henchman. I would also recommend having some rudimentary knowledge of where a nearby ID scanner is so you aren’t just wandering around randomly with a Henchman on your back, and you at least know where you’re going. If you’ve spent any time in these zones you probably know where at least a few of them are, so try to knock a Henchman near one of them to make this easier.

This has to be done in different matches, so you can’t keep carry around the same Henchman to different scanners in one place. You can go back to the same zone, however, and do it the exact same way, if you figure out a way that works best for you. If you do manage to pull this off, these locked areas/chests usually are pretty rewarding, so you have that going for you if you are trying to make an actual game of it, instead of just peacing out after completing the challenge you’re going for.

I really do love all these Henchmen-based challenges. They’re the right blend of goofy, fun and challenging, though I will say I hate other players who come along as sabotage me. But that’s the nature of the game I suppose.
