Fortnite player Daniel "Dubs" Walsh is suspended from FaZe Clan. After dropping a racial slur on another player's stream, the 15-year-old faced immediate consequences. On Twitter, FaZe stated, "FaZe Clan will not tolerate any form of hate speech. It is imperative for us to foster an inclusive environment in this community. Due to his actions, we are suspending Dubs indefinitely from representing FaZe Clan while in professional competition, streaming, or posting on his social channels."

Dubs and all other FaZe members are required to go through sensitivity training after the incident.

Dubs also took to Twitter to apologize. "I can't even describe how sorry I am. I did not intend to be hurtful in any way but what I said was still hurtful, insensitive, and wrong. The word shouldn't have been in my vocabulary and I apologize from the bottom of my heart to everyone I offended by using it. You deserve better."

Dubs was signed by FaZe in 2019 and qualified for the Fortnite World Cup in both the solo and duo divisions.

Dubs' suspension is another black mark for FaZe. Jarvis "Jarvis" Kaye was permanently banned from the game by Epic Games for using aimbots during a match. Player H1ghsky1 was banned from Twitch when it was discovered that he was only 11-years-old at the time.

Last May, Turner "Tfue" Tenney, one of the most popular Twitch streamers in Fortnite's community, sued FaZe Clan. He alleged the organization was "unfairly hindering his ability to pursue his profession in violation of California law."

The ex-FaZe member also made comments about the incident, comparing it to his own in 2019. "Just because someone says the n-word doesn't mean they're racist. But it is weird that he would say it, like in his off time, you know? When you say it on stream and it's an obvious slip-up, you can tell, like when [I] said it. But he's just saying it, like with his boys. Kinda cringe."

The buzz around FaZe Clan has been constant. From the string of player issues, to massive investment loans, the organization has managed to remain in the spotlight.

It's unknown how long Dubs' suspension will last, but the organization is determined to prevent future incidents.
