‘Fortnite’ Winterfest Challenge: Where To Search Holiday Stockings In The Winterfest Cabin

After an odd delay, Fortnite’s Winterfest event has just gone live as of this morning, and players are now invited to do challenges and earn rewards. The challenges for this event leaked out early, and one term kept coming up a lot, the “Winterfest Cabin.”

The Winterfest Cabin is not a location in the map but rather somewhere you navigate to from the lobby. Your first challenge of the day is to search holiday stockings in the Winterfest Cabin, and it’s pretty easy. Though this is all new so I thought I’d walk you through it anyway.

The Cabin you can navigate to from the main lobby by hitting the little snowflake icon in the top left of your screen.

That will then take you to the cabin page where you can hit the button at the bottom right to go to the cabin itself (the button says it’s a lodge, not a cabin, but same difference).

Then you will enter and find a room full of presents, Crackshot looking creepy and a fireplace.

That’s where the stocking is. Click on it and hold E to open and you will get the second part of the day one challenge here.

I don’t think these are random, but my challenge is now to do 200 damage to opponents with the Snowball launcher, and I will get a Doggo loading screen as a reward.

The best part of the cabin is not the stocking, however, but the presents. Each day you will get to open one present (if you forget I bet they stack). Today I got a music gift from Peely, but now in hindsight I am pretty sure I should have opened the Millenium Falcon-shaped package on the right side…

We are still working to figure out what the total loot pool is for the presents. I tried to open the largest box first, but I was told I needed to save it until the end. My guess is that it’s a skin, given it’s shape and size, but we’ll see.

This is a pretty neat little event and I love the rewards just for logging in and also the challenges for even more stuff. Stay tuned as we will be covering this event for its duration, and there are probably some fun secrets and easter eggs to find here.
